Koln Cologne

          Köln (Cologne) is Germany's fourth-largest city (after Berlin, Hamburg and Munich), and is the largest city both in the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and within the Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan Area. In  30 June 2011, there were officially 1,010,269 residents.  During the Bombing of Cologne in World War II, Cologne endured 262 air raids by the Western Allies, which caused approximately 20,000 civilian casualties and almost completely wiped out the center of the city.
          The landmarks are The Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), The Great St. Martin Church (groß sankt martin kirche), Basilica of St. Severin (Basilika St. Severin), Church of the Assumption, Holy Trinity Church, Cologne City Hall, Gürzenich, Overstolzenhaus, KölnTurm, Colonia-Hochhaus, Rheintower.
