Medellin

            Medellín is the second-largest city in Colombia. It is in the Aburrá Valley (Valle de Aburrá), one of the more northerly of the Andes in South America. To 2012, it has a population of 2.7 million. In February 2013, Medellín was chosen as the most innovative city in the world due to its recent advances in politics, education, and social development.
           The main landmarks are The Coltejer Building (Edificio Coltejer), University of Colombia (Universidad Nacional de Colombia - UNALMED), Medellín branch, La Raza Monument, The Intelligent Tower (El edificio inteligente), Plaza Mayor, Plaza Botero, Central Library of Pontifical Bolivarian University (Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana), Museum of Antioquia (Museo de Antioquia), Museum El Castillo, Candelaria Church (Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria), San Ignacio Square (Plazuela San Ignacio), La Alpujarra, Medellin's Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana de Medellín)  and The Metropolitan Theatre (Teatro Metropolitano de Medellín).
