Titicaca lake

Lake Titicaca is a lake in the Andes on the border of Peru and Bolivia. It had a surface of 8,372 km2 (3,232 sq mi). By volume of water, it is also the largest lake in South America. It is often called the highest navigable lake in the world, although this refers to navigation by "large" boats, generally considered to mean commercial craft. Five major river systems feed into Lake Titicaca. In order of their relative flow volumes these are Ramis, Coata, Ilave, Huancané, and Suchez.
The lake had more than 40 islands, the biggest beeing Uros, Amantani, Taquile, Isla del Sol, Isla de la Luna, and Suriqui.
