Kharkiv

             Kharkiv (Kharkov, Харків)is the second-largest city in Ukraine. The city is located in the northeast of the country. As of 2006, its population was 1,461,300. 
            The main landmarks are The University, The Assumption Cathedral (Успенський собор), The Annunciation Cathedral (Благовіщенський кафедральний собор), The Freedom Square (Площа Свободи), The culture academy, Derzhprom (Держпром) building, Memorial Complex, T. Shevchenko Gardens, Taras Shevchenko Monument
