Prut river

               The Prut (Прут) is a 953 km (592 mi) long river in Eastern Europe. In part of its course it forms the border between Romania and Moldova.  On Romanian territory Prut river has a length of 742 km, a catchment area of 10990 km ² and an annual average flow of 110 / sec (before flowing into the Danube). On a stretch of 39.4 km marks the Romanian-Ukrainian border, a stretch of 681.3 km (of which 73.9 km are made ​​of Lake Stanca Costesti) marks the border between Romania and Moldova.
               The following towns are situated along the river Prut: Kolomyia, Chernivtsi, Ungheni, Leova, Cahul. The main tributaries are: Sărata, Lăpuşna, Tlumachyk, Turka, Chornyava, Cherlena, Rynhach, Rekitnyanka, Larha, Cheremosh, Jijia.
