Mulhacén

Mulhacén (3479 m) is the highest mountain in continental Spain and in the Iberian Peninsula.
It is part of the Sierra Nevada range in the Cordillera Penibética.  Mulhacén is the highest peak in Europe outside Caucasus Mountains and the Alps. It is also the third most topographically prominent peak in Western Europe, after Mont Blanc and Mount Etna, and is ranked 64th in the world by prominence.
The conditions for the summit in winter, through any of its routes, can be extremely hard, especially given the speed and frequency with which changes the weather there at that time and the extremes to come, with temperatures down to -20 ° C.
