Guantanamo

                Guantanamo is a city in southeast Cuba and capital of Guantánamo Province. It had a population of 208,000. About 15 km away from the city lies the Guantánamo Bay, a superior natural harbor which has been controlled by the United States as the Guantánamo Bay Naval Base since 1902, following the Platt Amendment decree. It is the site of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp. 
                The main landmarks of Guantanamo are: Avenida Camilo Cienfuego, Estacion de omnibus Guantanamo, Guantanamo Railway Station, Iglesia Episcopal J.Marti y Aguilera Gtmo, Mercado Agroalimentario, Palacio Salcines, Plaza Pedro Agustin Pérez, Templo Adventista Maranatha, Facultad de Medicina Guantanamo, Hotel Guantanamo, Plaza de la Revolucion, El Caribe, Edificio eclectico ubicado en Calixto Garcia.
