Managua

              Managua (Leal Villa de Santiago de Managua) is the capital city of Nicaragua as well as the department and municipality by the same name. It is the largest city in Nicaragua with a population of 2,200,000. Is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Xolotlán (Lake Managua). 
              The main landmarks of Managua are: National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua), Polytechnic University of Nicaragua (Universidad Politecnica de Nicaragua), Inter-Continental Hotel, Plaza de la Revolución, Catedral de Santiago, Rubén Dario National Theater (Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío), National Palace of Culture (Palacio Nacional de la Cultura), Parque Central, Tomb of Comandante Carlos Fonseca, monument of El Guerrillero sin Nombre, Monumento à la Paz, Statue of Sandino, Tiscapa Lagoon, new Managua Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana de la Purisima Concepcion), Museum of Acahualinca, Bank of America tower, San Pedro Cemetery, Edificio BAC, Rotonda Rigoberto Lopez Perez, Parque Japonés, Crowne Plaza Hotel.
